Ranthambore
is one of the most famous wildlife sanctuaries of India and the most
prominent example of India's wildlife conservation program of Project Tiger.
Known as the main attraction of the township of Sawai Madhopur, Ranthambore
got its name from the two hills Ran And Thambor and was previously the major
hunting grounds for the royals of Jaipur.

Ranthambore Fort
The impressive 10th century fort is
considered to be the oldest one that is present in the state of Rajasthan.
Surrounded by the natural wilderness of the Ranthambore forest, this fort
houses some magnificent monuments within its premises.
The Jogi Mahal, Ranthambore
The entry point of the park is basically famous for the second largest
Banyan tree in India.
The Badal Mahal, Ranthambore
Popularly known as the "Palace of Clouds", this fort's main
attraction is its location. To onlooker at first sight it seems that the
fort is hanging in space. Another one is the 84-coloumn 'Chattri' of King
Hammir housed inside the fort and the three lakes - Padam Talab, Raj Bagh
Talab and the Milak Talab that are situated in its vicinity.
